Elena Faverio (they/them) is a trans nonbinary creative, semi-retired performer, and abolitionist based in Lenapehoking/modern day Phildelphia.

Previous performance work includes: Fun Home, The Grift (Bay Street Theatre), Catching Fireflies (54 Below, Don’t Tell Mama NYC), Amadeus (Eastline Theatre), and Saturday, Sunday, Monday (Guildhall School).

One of the joys of their life is writing tiny and beautiful plays with music, to date: Blaze: A New Musical, i don’t get out much, The Window Washers: Part I, and After the Flood. In 2022, El received a NYS Council on the Arts grant to produce the documentary 118. Recently, they accidentally became a published author with their writing collective The Weird Systers’ debut anthology, and some other third thing.

Elena is interested in disability justice, the abolition of policing and the carceral system, collective liberation, and making art as far removed from everything they learned in drama school as possible.
